Max Diving in the HBOT

So.. when a patient goes into a HyperBaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber (HBOT)  They refer to it as a dive.  Probably because it looks like they are going down in a submarine!

Here are some photos of Max and the HBOT at Southpaws!

  2. Thanks Bird! HBOT is incredibly healing for so many things. We are also currently using it for one of our other dogs to revers dimentia! I'm still amazed at how many doctors and vets are not educated on the benefits of oxygen therapy and all of the things that it can do... We all need to keep putting stories and case studies out there and encourage people to check out the HBOT facilities near them. Thank you for what you do!!! Do you know of any veterinarians near you who treat animals with HBOT? We have people reach out to us from all over the world (for both humans and animals) and would love to have a resource in India for them to explore.

  3. Hi there, I am passionate about HBOT as it works purely based on the laws of science. If three mechanisms of HBOT works for wound healing, two of those mechanisms must work for TBI too. HBOT chamber does not know what it is treating whether a human or animal, and what condition it is treating !!! All that a physician should understand is the simple mechanisms of Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy, use it where ever applicable in human or in animals and go by his wow "do no harm". In India, HBOT is not taught in medical institutions. If a doctor is not taught about a particular therapy, how he will prescribe it ? I would love to have your mail ID so that I could give you tons of information on what I do in India. Bird - Thanks

    1. Hi Bird - Thank you for your comments! I couldn't agree with you more whole heartedly! I will connect with you through FB. I'd also like to invite you to join the Paralyzed Dog Support Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/dogswithparalysis We have some HBOT professionals in that group (both human and veterinary and a number of members who have had exceptional results repairing neurologic conditions - as well as wound healing and infection healing with their dogs! We've had great success using it for liver disease (by accident!) Dementia, Degenerative Myelopathy, cognitive dysfunction and a alot more! I am also seeing some preliminary studies that it is being used with some effectiveness in certain brain tumors as well as highly effectively to repair damage from chemo and radiation therapy... Pretty amazing stuff!!! Thank you for your post and interest!!! PS - We have a member who has a paralyzed dog in the Bengal Region of India. She doesn't have easy access to a neurologic specialist, physical therapy, etc.. Do you know of any HBOT facilities that would allow animals in that region? I think HBOT would greatly benefit her sweet Pup Lucky! He's has some damage in the lower end of his spine and has been battling Urinary tract infections as well.. Appetite is good, energy is good, but he's stuck on the ground. His humans are doing the best they can to try and find resources on their own. IVAS has offered to work with local Human Acupuncturists - but I'm not sure if they've been able to coordinate yet..
